Well-developed social skills empower individuals to feel comfortable
with themselves and others, communicate more effectively, set a
leadership example, promote personal growth, confidence, and
character. Studies show that over 85% of one’s career success is directly
connected to one’s social skills.
Social Dance aids in the breaking down of inhibitions, teaches physical
respect, develops confidence, establishes teamwork and cooperation,
reinforces non-verbal and verbal communication, and teaches students
how to appropriately interact with the opposite gender in a structured
and healthy environment.
Shelese Castle believes in helping youth develop these social abilities
and positive interactions that will help them throughout their lives.
Shelese is an experienced instructor in social and ballroom dances, as
well as the accompanying etiquette. As a mother of six, it is personally
important to her to be an instrument in empowering young people.
